Wicked Roots - An Evening with Lauren Moss
🗓️ Wednesday, 28 October '26 7pm – 9pm GMT
📍 North Shields Community Hub and Library, Northumberland Square, North Shields, NE30 1QU
Author and folklore creator Lauren Moss explores the strange world of plant folklore, uncovering the stories, ancient beliefs and forgotten traditions that surround the natural world.
Drawing from her book Wicked Roots, we'll meet plants of death and protection, magic and madness, love and loss, and discover what those stories reveal about humanity's relationship with the natural world. Plants' roots run deep through our oldest myths, rituals and superstitions. They are both sacred and sinister, healing and poisonous, protectors of the living and companions of the dead.
This event is part of the North Tyneside Libraries' Haunted Page Horror Festival at North Shields Community Hub and Library in partnership with the bound bookshop.
